Certificate in multi-engine instructor rating is a FAA capability required to prepare pilots for the Multi-Engine Rating. A Multi-Engine Rating is required to fly a flying machine with more than one engine . Since larger part of the business flying is done on multi-engine airship, the Multi-Engine Rating is fundamental for an expert pilot. MEIs are approved to give supports and flight surveys identified with the Multi-Engine Rating.
